Juris Kravalis

Juris Kravalis holds a Bachelor's Degree in Finance and a Master's Degree in International Affairs from the University of Latvia. He started his career at the Foreign Relations Department of Latvijas Banka in 1995 and was promoted to the position of the Head of the Department in 2002. From 1 November 2010 to 30 June 2020, Juris Kravalis was the Head of the International Relations and Communication Department, but as of 1 July 2020 he is the Head of General Secretariat.

He worked for the International Monetary Fund in Washington (the US) in 2005–2007.

Juris Kravalis represents Latvijas Banka on the Eurosystem/ESCB International Relations Committee and the Economic and Financial Committee of the Council of the European Union.
