Liva Skolmeistare

Liva Skolmeistare has a diverse range of work experience in the legal field. Liva began their career as a Legal Adviser at the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Latvia, where they worked from February 2014 to July 2015. Liva then worked as a Legal Executive at Compensation Lawyers (Scotland) Ltd for a short period of time in September and October 2015.

In 2018, they had two different roles. First, they were a Blue Book Trainee at the Legal Service of the European Commission from March to August. Then, they became a Legal Counsel at the Competition Council of the Republic of Latvia from August 2018 to August 2019.

After their time at the Competition Council, Liva joined the Financial and Capital Market Commission in Latvia in September 2019 as a Senior Legal Counsel, where they worked until December 2022.

Currently, Liva Skolmeistare holds the position of Senior Legal Counsel at Latvijas Banka, starting from January 2023.

Liva Skolmeistare holds a Bachelor's degree in Law from Latvijas Universitate, which was earned between the years 2008 and 2011. Following this, they pursued Master of Laws (LLM) degrees in both International and European Law at the University of Amsterdam from 2011 to 2013. Lastly, they completed their education by obtaining another Master of Laws (LLM) degree, specializing in European Law, from the University of Edinburgh Law School between the years 2016 and 2017.
