Chief Programmer Analyst at Latvijas Banka

Reinis Lācis has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Reinis started their career as a Programmer at Inta Union, SIA in 1992. During their time there, they worked closely with the CFO, supporting the financial department's IT needs and played an advisory role in selecting new Financial Accounting software. Reinis also designed and administered the local computer network.

In 1993, they joined Telia Latvija, SIA as a Programmer. In this role, they developed a customer billing system using Microsoft Excel VBA and a phone call database using FoxPro and Visual FoxPro. Reinis also automated remote data collection using DOS scripts and networking services using ProCarry software.

In 1997, Reinis joined Latvijas Banka as a Programmer, where they played an integral role in designing and programming the first version of the Latvijas Banka electronic clearing system. Reinis worked with Visual Basic 6 and Microsoft SQL Server for database design. Over the years, they progressed to Senior Programmer, Lead Programmer, Information Systems Architect, and eventually Senior IT Project Manager. In their most recent role as Chief Programmer Analyst, they designed and developed updates for the Electronic Clearing System, focusing on the addition of capabilities to process specific inquiry message types.

Overall, Reinis Lācis has a strong background in programming, database design, project management, and IT architecture, with experience in the financial and telecommunications sectors.

Reinis Lācis obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Latvijas Universitate, where they studied from 1992 to 2002. In October 2016, they also received a certification in Duolingo French Fluency: Elementary (Estimated) from Duolingo.
