Chinthaka Wegapitiya

Chinthaka Wegapitiya has a considerable amount of experience in the rubber industry, primarily with LAUGFS Corporation (Rubber) Ltd. Chinthaka started their career with the company in 2000 as a General Manager, holding this position until 2021. In 2014, they had a role as the Assistant General Manager - International Marketing. In 2021, they were promoted to Chief Operating Officer of LAUGFS Corporation (Rubber) Limited, a position they held until 2022. Currently, Chinthaka serves as the Chief Executive Officer of LAUGFS Corporation (Rubber) Ltd.

Chinthaka Wegapitiya completed their education with a bachelor's degree in Marketing Management from the University of Kelaniya Sri Lanka, from the years 2000 to 2004. Prior to that, they attended Dharmaraja College in Kandy, Sri Lanka, from 1983 to 1996. Finally, they obtained a Master of Science degree in Information Management from SLIIT during the years 2005 to 2007.
