Adam Burgess is a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult since November 2016, specializing in the development and operation of mechanical test rigs for offshore high voltage cables. Prior to this role, Adam worked as a Mechanical Engineer, focusing on testing and validating wind turbine components. Notable project experience includes leading the design and installation of mechanical interfaces for the Haliade 150 Nacelle Test. Earlier career experience includes a position at Assystem, where Adam contributed to the design of a seismic-resistant pipework system for a power station, and as an Undergraduate/Graduate Mechanical Engineer at HMY Radford, focusing on mechanical design. Adam holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from The Open University and a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) Hons in Mechanical Engineering from Teesside University.
