Anup Nambiar is a Research Engineer at Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult since November 2021 and has extensive experience in renewable energy and power systems. Previously, Anup served as a Research Associate at the Institute for Energy Systems, University of Edinburgh, from May 2012 to September 2021, where responsibilities included delivering research expertise in marine renewables and ensuring excellence in teaching and research. Anup's earlier role as a Junior Research Fellow at Amrita School of Engineering involved work on a Government of India project related to energy savings for induction motors, including developing dynamic models and performing hardware-in-the-loop simulations. Anup holds a PhD in Renewable Energy and Power Systems from the University of Edinburgh and a B.Tech. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Amrita School of Engineering.
