Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult
Harvey North is an experienced professional in the renewable energy and subsea engineering sectors, currently serving as the Testing and Validation Site Leader at Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult, where responsibilities include managing the National Floating Wind Innovation Centre Test Facility and focusing on the development and de-risking of floating wind technologies since March 2023. Prior to this role, Harvey worked at Baker Hughes from August 2018 to February 2023 as the Subsea Projects & Services R&D Department Manager, overseeing product development and test deliverables. Before this, Harvey held the position of R&D Systems Engineering Team Leader at Legacy GE Oil & Gas, where management of the Baker Hughes R&D Test Facility reestablishment was a significant achievement, part of a thirty million dollar investment. Earlier experience at GE Oil & Gas from March 2013 to August 2018 included working as an R&D Department Technician, focused on the inspection, assembly, and pressure testing of prototype subsea equipment.
