Elsi Haverinen-Mottaghi serves as a Senior Lecturer at Laurea University of Applied Sciences, teaching courses in Global Health Promotion and Global Health Policies and Models, while also co-lecturing in several related courses. Serving as Co-Lead for Women in Global Health Finland, Elsi aims to enhance the visibility of women in global health and advocate for their leadership advancement. Recent roles include evaluating projects for the Finnish Red Cross and participating as a Visiting Researcher and Project Researcher at the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare, contributing to significant European Commission projects. Previous nursing roles encompass positions at various healthcare organizations, including intensive care nursing and health advisory roles. Elsi is pursuing a Doctorate in Global Health and Development and has obtained multiple degrees in health sciences and nursing.
