Valdemar Kallunki is an accomplished academic and leader in the field of digital education and social studies, holding the position of Director of Digital Education and Master Studies at Laurea University of Applied Sciences since January 2019. Kallunki serves as an Adjunct Professor at the National Defence University, specializing in Military Sociology with a focus on Citizenship and Civic Duties, and at the University of Helsinki in Church and Social Studies. Additionally, Kallunki has been engaged as a Postdoctoral Researcher and Adjunct Professor in Comparative Religion and Sociology of Religion at the University of Turku since October 2014. Previous roles include Research Director at South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences and Chief Research Officer at Kymenlaakso University of Applied Sciences. Kallunki also has experience as an MP's assistant in the Parliament of Finland. Kallunki holds a Doctorate degree from the University of Helsinki.
