Maria Acosta

Maria Acosta is a Research Specialist at the Laureate Institute for Brain Research, focusing on the Adolescent Brain and Cognitive Development (ABCD) study® since October 2021. In this role, Maria has taken on responsibilities from a previous position as a Research Assistant, including staff hiring and training, leading team meetings, and managing interns and volunteer activities. Prior experience includes working as a Certified Dental Assistant at Shortline Dental and serving as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Oklahoma, where Maria mentored first-year students and facilitated their transition to college life. Maria holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Oklahoma.
