Laurel Life
Carrie Mowen is a seasoned professional in the field of education and behavioral support, currently serving as a Transition Coordinator and Behavior Coach at Laurel Life since August 2018. Mowen has experience as a Substitute Teacher at ESS from October 2017 to July 2019 and as a Childcare Teacher at Wee Kare Child Center from June 2013 to July 2019. Additionally, Mowen completed internships with the United Way of York County, gaining valuable insights into working with truant students, and with Franklin County Adult Probation, where hands-on experience was acquired in adult probation duties. Early career experience includes a role as a Childcare Worker for the Children's Aid Society in 2015. Mowen holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and Corrections and a Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Sciences, both from York College of Pennsylvania, along with minors in Criminalistics and Applied Youth Development.

Laurel Life provides behavioral health services in home, community, educational, and office settings throughout South Central Pennsylvania. Treatment through all of Laurel Life's available programs are strength based, recovery oriented, and promote resiliency with a focus on self-determination and building protective factors.
