Norma Mejia is an experienced mental health professional specializing in crisis intervention and case management. Currently serving as a Mental Health Specialist at Laurel Ridge Treatment Center since March 2017, Norma assists in assessing and providing mental health services, facilitates counseling sessions, and helps clients connect with community resources. Prior roles include Senior Trainer and Curriculum Developer at Medical Education and Training Campus, where Norma decreased attrition significantly while developing training programs for Department of Defense personnel. Norma's experience in the United States Army includes managing the operations of multiple clinics, supervising a diverse staff, and implementing training programs that enhanced compliance and staff capabilities. In 1987, Laurel Ridge Treatment Center opened its doors to provide specialized behavioral health care and addiction treatment on a therapeutic 18-acre campus, located in North Central San Antonio, Texas. Our 250-bed facility was designed with one mission in mind: Saving Lives, Healing Families, Creating Hope. The facility includes a charter school, gymnasium, recreational facility, playgrounds, swimming pool, ROPES (Reality-Oriented Physical Experiential Situation Course), library and dining room.
