Cathy Modesto

Cathy Modesto is a Board Member at Laurentian University. Cathy was previously the Superintendent of Business and Finance at CSCNO - Conseil scolaire catholique du Nouvel-Ontario from April 2003 to July 2021. Prior to that, they were the Manager of Finance at CSCNO from January 1992 to December 2003. Cathy began their career at KPMG as an Audit Senior from January 1989 to December 1992.

Cathy Modesto has a high school education from Collège Notre-Dame. Cathy then went on to obtain an Honors Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from Laurentian University/Université Laurentienne. Cathy is also a Chartered Professional Accountant from the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada). In addition, they have a Business Supervisory Officer's Certificate from the Ministry of Education (Ontario) and a Gouvernance Scolaire in Governance from Université de Saint-Paul. Finally, they are completing a Board Oversight of Strategy - 2022 in Governance from the Institute of Corporate Directors.
