David Takkenberg

David Takkenberg is an experienced ophthalmologist currently serving as both an ophthalmologist (oogarts) and medical manager of ophthalmology at Laurentius Ziekenhuis since August 2019. Prior to this, David held a residency in ophthalmology at Maastricht UMC+ from February 2015 to July 2019 and completed a semi-arts internship at UMC Utrecht in 2014. David began their medical career as a student-researcher and coordinator of the student trauma team at Universitair Medisch Centrum Groningen from 2010 to 2014, while also assuming roles as a co-assistant and student-tutor. David achieved a Master of Science and Medical Doctor degree in medicine from the University of Groningen, following a gymnasium diploma from Het Nieuwe Lyceum, Bilthoven.
