Russ Martin

Russ Martin has had a diverse and extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Russ is currently serving as the Chief Communications Officer at Lausanne Movement since January 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of Director of Digital Engagement at the same company from January to December 2021.

Before joining Lausanne Movement, Russ was associated with Indigitous, where they served as the Managing Director since January 2021. Additionally, they co-founded Indigitous in 2013, a global community focused on advancing Christian causes through digital engagement. During their tenure, they provided leadership for a global hackathon and worked with a consulting group to refine messaging and build marketing capacity.

Russ has also worked at Cru, where they held various roles. Russ served as the Senior Director of Digital Strategy from January 2019 to December 2020, leading a COVID-19 digital strategy taskforce and implementing data warehousing for user engagement. Previously, they held the position of Director of Product from September 2015 to December 2018, where they established a product management function and led international deployments of Adobe Experience Cloud marketing suite. Russ also worked as a Digital Strategist at Cru from January 2014 to August 2015.

Prior to Cru, Russ worked at Power to Change Ministries, where they held several roles. Russ served as the National Collaboration Director, Student Division from July 2011 to December 2013, designing partnership projects and online strategies. Russ also worked as the National Operations Director, Student Division from May 2008 to July 2011, managing inter-divisional business processes and implementing collaboration platforms. Russ's earlier roles at Power to Change Ministries include Internet Ministry Director and Campus Staff.

Russ's work experience also includes summer employment at Asia Impact as a Software Developer. During this time, they programmed software for payroll processes, developed a PHP framework, and customized event management systems.

Russ'searliest work experience was at Pattern Discovery Software Systems as a Software Developer, where they managed deployment processes, programmed client-facing interfaces, and assisted with data-mining algorithm debugging.

Russ Martin completed their Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) degree at the Quantic School of Business and Technology from 2020 to 2021. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Mathematics degree in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo, where they studied from 2001 to 2006.
