The LAUSD Education Foundation is dedicated to supporting the Los Angeles Unified School District, its students and employees, in pursuit of equitable learning for all. The Foundation is the bridge for the expertise and resources of the private sector to enhance and support targeted District programs and learning opportunities to ensure every child learns and succeeds.

LAEF was formed and incorporated in May 2002 as a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, separate from Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD).

It is organized exclusively for the charitable purpose of furthering the educational goals of LAUSD.
