Mike DeFlavia has a diverse work experience that spans over two decades. Mike started their career as a PR Assistant at the Philadelphia Water Department in 1996. From there, they worked as a Production Coordinator at M&M Associates and Philadelphia magazine. In 2000, they joined Conseco Direct Life Insurance as a Production Manager before moving on to the National Trust for Historic Preservation as an Associate Director of Membership in 2001.
DeFlavia then ventured into the nonprofit sector, serving as a Board Member and later the Board President at the Direct Marketing Association of Washington from 2009 to 2016. During this time, they also played active roles in committees at the Bridge to Integrated Marketing & Fundraising Conference and the DMA Nonprofit Federation Conference.
In 2008, DeFlavia joined Lautman Maska Neill & Company where they held various positions, including Production Manager, Senior Production Manager, Print Production Director, and currently serves as the Vice President. Additionally, they have been involved with CAMP Rehoboth as an At-Large Board Member and currently serves as the Board Secretary.
Throughout their career, DeFlavia has demonstrated expertise in production and marketing, as well as a commitment to nonprofit organizations.
Mike DeFlavia attended Bishop Egan High School, Conwell-Egan Catholic from 1988 to 1992. Mike then went on to study at La Salle University from 1992 to 1996, where they received a BA degree in Communication and Business. Before attending high school, Mike also had some education at Queen of the Universe, although specific dates and details are not provided.
