Shehzan Maredia

Shehzan Maredia is an accomplished entrepreneur and engineer with a diverse background in technology and innovation. Currently serving as the Founder, CEO, and CTO of Lava since January 2022, Maredia previously held positions at prominent organizations such as Google as an Engineer on the Cloud AI Team and at Shipt as a Data Scientist, where recommendation algorithms were developed. Maredia founded several startups, including ContainIt, which created a contact tracing app, and CrucialLearning, which was sold to VitalSmarts LLC after launching a successful web-based adaptive learning platform. Maredia's experience includes engineering work at Duke University, particularly on fire detection systems, and conducting research at UAB Medicine focused on aging. An exemplary student, Maredia graduated from Duke University with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, and Math, following a top-ranking performance at Hoover High School.
