Magnus Alm started their career in 2003 as the Owner of Muskedunder. Magnus then worked as the Editor in Chief at Sverox from November 2003 to June 2006 before becoming a Member of the Advisory Board at Gamemaker from May 2006 to September 2007. In July 2007, they became the CEO of Muskedunder Interactive and held this position until January 2012.

In February 2012, Magnus became the CEO of Free Lunch Design, where they outlined and implemented company strategy, oversaw day-to-day development and project follow-up, and handled PR and marketing. Magnus changed the company's name to Free Lunch Design in early 2012 to emphasize the shift to funding and developing their own games. Magnus worked in this role until March 2014.

From February 2009 to April 2010, Magnus served as a Member of the Board at Spelplan - Association of Swedish Game Developers. In June 2007, Magnus became a Member of the Advisory Board at Game architecture and held this position until December 2010.

In January 2012, they also joined the Nordic Game Program as a Member of the Industry Expert Group, where they represented the games industry and identified relevant development projects suitable for funding. Magnus worked in this role until May 2016.

Magnus then moved on to Palringo in April 2014, where they initially served as a Principal Analyst from March 2015 to December 2016. Magnus later took on the role of CMO, responsible for reaching revenue targets, marketing and product strategy, managing performance marketing, PR and app store strategy, and recruiting and leading the marketing team. Magnus worked in this role until February 2015.

Finally, Magnus co-founded Lavapotion in February 2017, where they followed their dreams of creating an adventure strategy game and enjoyed their time in the Swedish forests when not working.

Magnus Alm attended Skurups folkhögskola from 2001 to 2002 where they studied literary writing. Prior to that, from 2000 to 2001, they attended Studium Gothenburg for information and public relations studies. In addition to their education, Magnus obtained the certification of Professional Scrum Master I in June 2015 from Scrum.org.
