Kayla Neal is an experienced legal professional currently serving as an Assistant Public Defender and Certified Legal Intern at the Law Offices of the Public Defender for the 2nd Judicial Circuit of Florida, focusing on the misdemeanor division in Leon County and the Juvenile division in Gadsden County since May 2022. Prior experience includes roles as a Pro Bono Assistant at the Office of Criminal Conflict and Civil Regional Counsel and as a Student Advocate at the FSU Law Public Interest Law Center, where Kayla provided legal representation to immigrant and farmworker communities. Additional internship experience includes conducting investigations and client interviews for the Public Defender's office. Kayla holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from Florida State University College of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship from Florida State University.
