Angus Maclauchlan has extensive experience in marketing and business development roles. Angus started their career at Shanks Waste Management in 1993, where they worked their way up from a sales position to become the Business Development and Communication Manager for Scotland. In this role, they were responsible for securing new contracts, implementing marketing activities, managing key accounts, and handling media inquiries. Angus then went on to work as a Marketing Consultant as a freelancer before joining The Law Society of Scotland in 2007 as the Head of Marketing. In this role, they oversee all marketing activities, brand development, member research, and membership retention plans. Angus also plays a key role in developing new revenue-generating services and products for members. Overall, Angus has strong skills in marketing, business development, leadership, and budget management.

Angus Maclauchlan earned a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing from CIM | The Chartered Institute of Marketing in 1999. Prior to that, they completed a Joint Honours degree in Modern History and Social & Economic History from Queen's University of Belfast from 1988 to 1991.
