Joe E. Petre

EVP at Lawler-Wood

Joe Petre serves as executive vice president for LawlerWood. He manages a team dedicated to real estate development, brokerage and property management. He also manages key accounts and the assets of investment clients. Mr. Petre has over thirty years of real estate experience having worked for Wood Properties, Inc. and LawlerWood, LLC before founding Conversion Properties, Inc. in 2006 and returning to LawlerWood in 2021. He has extensive experience in urban mixed use development projects working with tax credits and a variety of financing options.

Mr. Petre has a B.S. Degree in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee. He was a member of the 2005 Leadership Knoxville class. Community service is a high priority, and he has served on many boards and committees such as: Knoxville Mayor’s Business Advisory Council, Knox Area Chamber Partnership (Executive Committee), Knoxville Central Business Improvement District (Chair), Knoxville Mayor’s Downtown Task Force, Knoxville Downtown Design Review Board, ReCode Knoxville Public Stakeholders Committee, Legacy Parks Foundation (Chair), Helen Ross McNabb Center, Knoxville Habitat for Humanity (President), Southeast Housing Foundation, The Restoration House and several others.
