Lawndale Elementary School District
Andrea Carr is an experienced education professional currently serving as an English Learner Instructional Resource Teacher for Lawndale Elementary School District since August 2021. Previously, Andrea held the position of English Language Arts Teacher at Paramount Unified School District from August 2012 to June 2016 and worked as an Educational Consultant at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt from July 2001 to August 2011, where responsibilities included creating and coordinating professional development for K-6 educators. Lawndale Elementary School District
The Lawndale Elementary School District was established in 1906 with one teacher and 20 students. Since then, the District has blossomed to more than 4,700 students and more than 800 teachers and staff. Lawndale Elementary School District serves students from preschool through grade eight. There are now eight schools in the District. Six elementary schools serve Kindergarten through 5th grade: William Anderson, William Green, Billy Mitchell, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Lucille J. Smith, and Mark Twain. Jane Addams Middle School and Will Rogers Middle School serve students in the 6th, 7th, and 8th grades.
