Lawndale Elementary School District
Courtney Allen, M.Ed., LSLS Cert. AVEd is a Deaf and Hard of Hearing Itinerant Specialist at Lawndale Elementary School District with experience working with K-12 students with hearing loss in mainstream settings. At John Tracy Center, Courtney worked as a Deaf and Hard of Hearing Itinerant Teacher providing early intervention and auditory verbal therapy for children age 0-3. Additionally, Courtney served as a Listening and Spoken Language Teacher in a preschool program for children ages 4-5 with hearing loss and their families. Courtney also has experience as a teacher at Frisco ISD and holds a Master's degree in Education/Teaching of Individuals with Hearing Impairments Including Deafness.
Lawndale Elementary School District
The Lawndale Elementary School District was established in 1906 with one teacher and 20 students. Since then, the District has blossomed to more than 4,700 students and more than 800 teachers and staff. Lawndale Elementary School District serves students from preschool through grade eight. There are now eight schools in the District. Six elementary schools serve Kindergarten through 5th grade: William Anderson, William Green, Billy Mitchell, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Lucille J. Smith, and Mark Twain. Jane Addams Middle School and Will Rogers Middle School serve students in the 6th, 7th, and 8th grades.
