Martha Garvin

Martha Garvin, BSN, RNC, has extensive nursing experience, currently serving as Clinical Coordinator at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital since November 1997, overseeing the labor, delivery, and postpartum unit on the second shift. Responsibilities include management as charge nurse, staff education, scheduling, evaluations, and chart audits, alongside collaboration with NICU staff for preterm patients. Martha has actively participated in the Quality and Safety Council and the Unit Practice Council, as well as task forces focusing on breastfeeding and neonatal abstinence. Previously, Martha worked as a Staff RN at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital in various roles from March 1992 to August 1997, providing care in medical, surgical, renal, and oncology units. Martha's educational journey includes pursuing a Master's in Nursing Administration at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences and earning a BSN from Central Connecticut State University, following an Associate's Degree in Nursing from CT State Three Rivers.
