Jonathan Smith

Jonathan Smith, MPH, is a seasoned healthcare executive with extensive experience in public health leadership and operational management. Currently serving as Executive Director at Lawrence-Douglas County Public Health since July 2023, Jonathan provides engaged leadership and collaborates with the board and senior management on strategic initiatives. Previously, as Operations Director at Atchison Community Health Clinic, Jonathan enhanced organizational growth and efficiency. Jonathan also held the role of Director of Healthcare Transformation at Community Care Network of Kansas, driving strategies for value-based care. Earlier positions include Regional Manager and Quality Improvement Advisor at KAMMCO Family of Companies, Chief Information Officer and Director of Technology at Genesis Family Health, and Network Technician at Family Health Center. Jonathan holds a Master of Public Health from Dartmouth College and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Western Michigan University.
