Colleen Sutherland is an experienced Public Education Specialist at the Lawrence Hall of Science, UC Berkeley, since January 2019, where responsibilities include creating hands-on science programming aimed at historically excluded youth and guiding youth-led environmental action projects. Sutherland also serves as Deputy Director at Lodestar, LLC, focusing on community-based education initiatives in Flint, Michigan. Previous roles include educator and curriculum developer, Visitor Services Student Coordinator at Harvard Museums of Science & Culture, and Education Specialist at Peabody Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology. Additionally, Sutherland has held various educational positions, including internships and fellowships at esteemed institutions such as the Chicago History Museum and Museums in the Park. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in Museum Education from Tufts University and a Bachelor of Education in Secondary Education from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
