Emily Weiss has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations. Emily has served as the Head of Youth STEM Pathways at Lawrence Hall of Science, UC Berkeley since September 2022. Prior to this, they were a Senior Project Director at the same institution, leading and directing several grant-funded initiatives focused on science curriculum development, professional learning, and enhancing diversity in the geosciences. Emily Weiss attended Brown University from 1994 to 1998 and earned a B.A. degree in Public Policy. Emily then pursued further education at the Harvard Graduate School of Education from 1999 to 2000, where they obtained an M.Ed. degree with a focus in Language & Literacy. Later, from 2003 to 2006, they attended Boston University and completed their M.A. degree in Marine Biology. Additionally, Emily has obtained a certification as a K-12 Literacy Specialist from the Massachusetts Department of Education, although the exact year and month of obtaining the certification are not provided.
