Melissa Melendez

Melissa Melendez has extensive experience in educational leadership, currently serving as the 9th Grade Principal at Lawrence High School since August 2013, after holding positions as Assistant Principal and School Counselor within Lawrence Public Schools. Additionally, Melissa has contributed as a Member of LEE since May 2024 and participated in the Latinos for Education Fellowship from September 2023 to May 2024, as well as the Lynch Leadership Academy Fellowship from May 2021 to May 2022. Prior to these roles, Melissa worked as a Clinician at Lahey Health Behavioral Services, providing emergency behavioral health services from June 2016 to May 2021. Academically, Melissa holds a C.A.G.S. in Educational Leadership and Administration from American International College, a Master of Social Work from Salem State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Human Services and Adolescent Psychology from Lasell University.
