Bernadette Teeley currently serves as the Chair of the English Department, Head of House, and Coach at the Lawrenceville School, where Bernadette holds the title of Oscar H. McPherson '01 Distinguished Teaching Chair since 2012. In addition to this role, Bernadette was the Executive Director of Lawrenceville Summer Scholars and has extensive experience in corporate education, strategic communications, and technical writing. Prior expertise includes serving as a Policy Research and Evaluation Consultant at Educational Testing Service, where research focused on the achievement gap and minority-male achievement, and as Executive Director at Indianapolis Rowing Center. Bernadette has also held coaching positions at the University of Michigan and Father Gabriel Richard High School, and was an elite athlete, winning a world championship with USRowing. Academic credentials include a BA in English and Education Certification from the University of Dayton, an M.A. in the Center for the Study of Higher and Post-Secondary Education from the University of Michigan, and completion of the Strategic Leadership Program at the University of Pennsylvania.
