Jason Paton

Jason Paton is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in the oil and gas sector. Currently a Partner at Lawson Lundell LLP since January 2013, Jason specializes in supporting large, mid-size, and junior oil and gas companies, focusing on asset acquisitions and divestitures, due diligence, and operational assistance. Prior to this role, Jason served as a Partner at EnerLaw LLP, where responsibilities included preparing working interest opinions, reviewing freehold leases, and negotiating energy-related agreements. Jason's earlier experience includes positions at Thackray Burgess LLP and Kanuka Thuringer LLP as a Lawyer, as well as Program Counsel at the Information Services Corporation of Saskatchewan. Jason holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Saskatchewan and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Regina.
