In 2018, they transitioned into the insurance field and held the position of Underwriting Manager at Lawyers' Mutual Insurance Company California. In 2021, they were promoted to Chief Underwriting Officer.

Dana Ulise completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Law & Society at UC Santa Barbara from 1996 to 2000. Following this, they attended Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, from 2000 to 2003, where they earned their JD degree.
