Karen Wood

Vice President, Human Resources & Administration at LAWPRO

Karen Wood has over 25 years of experience in human resources and administration roles. Karen most recently worked as the Vice President of Human Resources & Administration at LAWPRO, where they were responsible for overseeing HR functions. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Human Resources & Administrative Services at the Ontario Real Estate Association, where they supported the success and effective governance of the association. Karen has also held management positions at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre and Reed Exhibition Companies - Canadian Division. Their experience includes developing HR policies, managing compensation and benefits, recruitment, and performance management.

Karen Wood graduated with an Honours BA in Psychology from the Glendon Campus of York University in 1989. Karen later pursued further education at the Schulich School of Business - York University, where they obtained an MBA in Strategic Management from 1990 to 1992. In 1998, Karen also earned the designation of Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) from the HRPA - Human Resources Professionals Association. Continuing their educational journey, they completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Advanced Management with a specialization in Marketing from the Schulich School of Business - York University between 1999 and 2000.
