Xiangning Liu is a Co-Founder and CTO at Laxis since 2021. Prior to this, Liu was a Staff Software Engineer at IBM from 2013 to 2021. While at IBM, Liu led the design and development of a highly scalable natural language processing API service and designed and implemented a highly scalable data processing pipeline for efficient processing of text documents with custom NLP models. Liu also implemented a robust data ingestion pipeline consisting of data source crawlers and converters and achieved a 300% improvement in data import performance by resolving concurrent issues. Additionally, Liu developed a chatbot that facilitates collaboration among teams by automatically collecting and routing developer community questions to the relevant teams.
Xiangning Liu obtained a Bachelor of Engineering in Software Engineering from Nanjing University of Science and Technology between 2003 and 2007. Xiangning then went on to obtain a Master of Engineering in Computational Intelligence and Systems Science from Tokyo Institute of Technology between 2007 and 2009. Finally, they obtained a Ph.D. in Engineering in Information Processing from Tokyo Institute of Technology between 2009 and 2013. In addition, they have obtained three certifications from IBM: Plateau (2021), Patent Issuance (2020), and First Patent File (2018).
