Sameer Johri

Sameer Johri has over 25 years of work experience in the manufacturing and engineering industry. Sameer is currently serving as the Senior Vice President of Manufacturing at Laxmi Organic Industries Ltd. Prior to this, they held the position of Vice President of Manufacturing at the same company.

Before joining Laxmi Organic Industries Ltd, Sameer worked at Asian Paints for a significant period of time. Sameer started as a Mechanical Engineer and gradually progressed to the role of Sr. Manager - Plant Engineering, where they were responsible for the overall management of the engineering and operations functions.

Earlier in their career, Sameer worked at Birla Cellulosic of Grasim Industries Ltd. Sameer held various positions including Deputy Manager, Assistant Manager, and Mechanical Engineer, with responsibilities ranging from erection and commissioning of plants to managing day-to-day operations.

Sameer began their career as an Engineering Trainee at Woolworth.

Sameer Johri received a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Bhilai Institute of Technology (BIT), Durg, from 1990 to 1994. Later, they pursued an Executive MBA (Executive Program in Business Management) from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta in 2006-2007. In addition to their degrees, Sameer Johri obtained certifications as a Certified Internal Auditor of ISO 18001 from ISO in 2011 and as a Certified Lead Auditor of ISO 14001:1996 from ISO in 2004.
