Cian Murphy

Cian Murphy has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over two decades. Cian began their career as an Auditor at Arthur Andersen, where they worked on various companies across different sectors. Cian then joined EY as an Audit Manager, focusing on private equity and SEC companies.

In 2005, Cian transitioned to Palamon Capital Partners, where they served as a Financial Accountant for a brief period. The following year, they joined the BGL Group, initially as a Group Financial Accountant, and later took on roles as a Senior Contracts Manager and Associate Director, Trading: Insurance and Aggregation.

Cian's next move was to Laya healthcare, where they held several leadership positions. Cian initially served as the Head of Life and Consumer Sales before being promoted to Head of Product, Pricing, and Consumer Sales. Cian'sresponsibilities included managing health, life, and travel insurance products, as well as identifying new opportunities for product expansion.

Most recently, Cian served as the Director of Business Design (Digital and Data) at Laya healthcare. As a member of the executive team, they were responsible for driving the organization's digital and data transformation and growth. Cian'sfocus was on enhancing the digital experience for Laya's extensive membership base and developing strategic and operational expertise in digital and data across the organization.

Cian Murphy's education history begins with their attendance at Presentation College, although the specific years are unknown. After completing high school, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting at University College Cork from 1995 to 1998. Following their undergraduate studies, Cian decided to further enhance their accounting knowledge by enrolling at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ireland, where they pursued a degree in FCA from 1998 to 2002.
