John Ballato

John Ballato is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in academia and industry. Currently serving as an Advisor at Layer Metrics Inc. since June 2020, John Ballato contributes to innovative solutions for in-line quality assurance. As Director at Tetramer since February 2001, John Ballato has focused on developing market-driven materials for various sectors, including industry and defense. At Clemson University, where John Ballato has held multiple prestigious roles since August 1997, including Professor and J. E. Sirrine Endowed Chair, significant contributions have been made to research and economic development. Additionally, John Ballato was the Director at AVX Corporation from February 2019 to May 2020. John Ballato holds both a BS and PhD in Ceramic Science and Engineering from Rutgers University, obtained between 1989 and 1997.
