Jerome Boots

Jerome Boots is currently employed as Plant Manager at LayerZero Power Systems since 2020. Prior to this, they worked at GE Healthcare Coils from 2002-2020 in various roles. Jerome began as Manufacturing Technician and then progressed to Manufacturing Engineer, Manufacturing Engineering Manager, Materials Manager, and Plant Manager. As Manufacturing Engineer, they were the design transfer leader for 8 new products in one year. As Manufacturing Engineering Manager, they led a team of 6 Manufacturing Engineers and 4 Technicians in all Design Transfer, Product Quality and Production Support Activities. Jerome also oversaw the design transfer of 13 new medical devices and drove the first Coils Automated Test Equipment from concept to implementation. As Materials Manager, they led a team of 25 salaried and hourly employees in management of all warehousing, inventory, shipping, receiving and purchasing activities. Jerome managed an 11MM$ inventory of >3000 unique part identifiers and reduced starting inventory from 15MM$ to 11MM$ by utilizing a monthly Days on Hand analysis and refining a recent launch of Oracle Advanced Supply Chain Planning Tool. As Plant Manager, they lead an organization of 150 salaried and hourly employees in the production of industry leading MRI Surface Coils. Jerome managed all costs related to base and variable spending and created an annual operating plan to support business forecast and needs.

Jerome Boots obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from The University of Akron between 1999 and 2003.
