Derek Yeap

Derek Yeap is an experienced professional in the retail and merchandising industry, currently serving as a Category Manager at Lazada since July 2021. Previously, Derek held significant roles including Merchandising Manager at SOGO KL Department Store SDN BHD and Senior Merchandising Manager at MJ Department Stores Sdn Bhd, overseeing high-revenue departments and leading teams. Earlier career achievements include serving as a Brand Manager at Star 360 Sdn Bhd, where brand development responsibilities included expanding the presence of multiple luxury brands, and as Business Development Director at Advanced Apotheke Sdn Bhd, where the expansion of European luxury brands in Malaysia was successfully managed. Derek holds dual Bachelor of Commerce degrees in Marketing Management and Banking, Corporate, Finance, and Securities Law from The University of Western Australia.
