Duncan shares LBA’s philosophy of taking care of his associates so they can better take care of their guests. It is a concept he learned early on and has been a key to his personal leadership style throughout his career.
Duncan credits much of his growth in hospitality to the knowledge he gained while working demanding markets such as Orlando and Washington, D.C. He discovered his interest for the industry while interning at the front desk of Omni Hotel on International Drive in Orlando. After graduating from the University of Central Florida’s Rosen College of Hospitality Management, Duncan went on to work at two full-service Marriott properties in Orlando, focusing on front office operations, but always making a point of getting to know the Director of Sales at each property. He landed his first sales position at a full-service Marriott in Orlando and knew he had found his passion. Delray Beach, Gainesville and Washington D.C. were a few of the cities that supported his career progression. In 2015, after successfully opening the Hyatt Place White House he was honored with the Hyatt Sales Force Partnership Award. Duncan spent the next several years in an above property role, opening new hotels, supporting hotel acquisitions leading the sales efforts of a portfolio of hotels in Virginia, Washington D.C., the Carolina’s, and Florida.
Duncan joined LBA in 2019 and currently leads and inspires a dynamic team of sales professionals to deliver excellent top-line results for a portfolio of hotels in the Southeast. He firmly believes that by providing the right training and direction his teams can accomplish anything.
Duncan resides in Lake Mary, Florida with his wife and daughter. Duncan enjoys the ocean and water sports. He also enjoys stepping outside of his comfort zone in the kitchen and rooting for the Jacksonville Jaguars.
