As Regional Director of Sales, Mona shares LBA’s belief that the fundamentals of success begin with the proper training, support and employee culture. It is a basic tenet she has embraced throughout nearly three decades in the hospitality industry and uses every day in providing regional sales support and exploring new opportunities for business growth at LBA.
Mona took her first industry job right out of college, working the front desk at the Opryland Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee before moving to the sales office. She progressed quickly, taking on her first management position with Vanderbilt Plaza. Her first Sales Manager job was with Holiday Inn Briley Parkway, after which she was promoted to Director of Sales at Holiday Inn Brentwood. After eight years with IHG, she was hired as Regional Sales Manager for the Peabody Hotel in Memphis, where she also consulted for Hospitality Consulting Group. Moving back to Nashville, Mona worked with Homewood Suites by Hilton and was Area Director of Sales for two Hyatt Place properties. Her hard work has earned Mona several sales and management awards and honors throughout her career.
Mona joined LBA in 2012 and currently oversees direct sales and marketing initiatives for LBA hotel properties primarily located in the state of Florida. By maintaining an energized selling culture and collaborating with property Directors of Sales and General Managers, she develops and implements strategic sales and marketing plans to successfully grow revenue and market share.
Mona, her husband and their two miniature dachshunds are living the “salt life” in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. She enjoys swimming, going to the beach, attending area festivals and events, and exploring the culinary scene of the dog-friendly beach town.
