LCM Architects
Joe Kucera is an experienced architect with a robust career spanning several decades in the construction and architectural industries. From 2012 to the present, Kucera has served as an Architect and FHA Accessibility Plan-Site Reviewer at LCM Architects. Prior to this role, Kucera was employed as a Project Architect and Construction Manager-Engineer at Sedgwick Properties from 2008 to 2012, and as a Project Architect-Draftsman and Construction Manager at Michael Leary Architects from 1986 to 2008. Kucera's early career included leadership as President and Publisher of the Czechoslovak Daily Herald-Denni Hlasatel Printing & Publishing Co. from August 1980 to 2006, publishing a Czech and Slovak language newspaper in Chicago. The career began in the construction field at Josef Kucera Construction, working as a Laborer, Carpenter Apprentice, and Estimator from January 1970 to January 1983. Kucera holds a Bachelor of Architecture in Architectural Design from the University of Illinois at Chicago, further complemented by summer studies in architecture at the University of Illinois at Versailles, France.
