Aaron Thompson

Aaron Thompson, MD, MPH, FAAP, FAMIA, serves as the Pediatric Chief Medical Information Officer at LCMC Health since January 2024 and has been an Emergency Physician at Children's Hospital of New Orleans since October 2008, where additional roles include Associate Chief Medical Information Officer and Emergency Department Medical Director. Previous experience includes serving as Associate Chief Medical Informatics Officer at LCMC Health from May 2017 to June 2020 and as a Pediatric Hospitalist at West Jefferson Medical Center from July 2001 to June 2016. Aaron's medical training includes a Doctor of Medicine and a Master of Public Health in Maternal and Child Health obtained from Tulane University School of Medicine and Tulane University School of Public Health, respectively, alongside a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from Oregon State University and emergency medical technician training from Linn-Benton Community College. Early experience includes serving as a Resident Volunteer Firefighter/EMT with the Corvallis Fire Department from 1992 to 1994.
