Charla Johnson has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Charla is currently working at LCMC Health as an IT Systems Analyst, where they support end-user training in Epic Inpatient Clinical Documentation and Stork electronic medical records system. Charla is responsible for developing and maintaining course curriculum, training materials, and training environments. Charla also manages IT projects from needs analysis to implementation and training.
Prior to that, Charla was involved in the Ida B. Wells Education Project as a Curriculum Developer and Board Member. This project focuses on providing anti-racist education by offering curriculum, instructional strategies, resources, and professional development for educators.
Charla also has experience in the education sector, specifically with the DeKalb County School District. Charla worked as an ELA Teacher for over 13 years, from August 2006 to May 2020.
Additionally, Charla worked at BenchMark Physical Therapy as a Clinical Services Instructional Designer from June 2018 to January 2019.
Charla Johnson began their education journey at Spelman College, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language and Literature from 2001 to 2005. Later, they enrolled in Georgia State University from 2017 to 2018 and completed a Master of Science degree in Instructional Design and Technology. Building on their educational background, they pursued further studies at Kennesaw State University, focusing on Education/Instructional Technology, and completed an EdS degree from 2019 to 2020.
