Lisa Latson Benton has over 15 years of experience in water quality protection and environmental education. Currently serving as Manager of Water Quality Protection at LCRA since June 2009, Lisa has held various roles, including Supervisor of Aquatic Science and Clean Rivers Program Project Manager for the Colorado River. Prior experience includes Education and Outreach Coordinator for the USA National Phenology Network and Research Assistant at the University of Arizona, where Lisa focused on dryland ecosystems. Lisa’s educational background consists of a Bachelor of Science in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from The University of Texas at Austin and a Master’s Degree in Water Resource Management and Ecohydrology from the University of Arizona, complemented by a Wilderness First Responder certification from NOLS.
