Lorie Thompson

Lorie Thompson has a diverse background in community support, education, and workforce development. Currently serving as the SW TrANS Coordinator at Forward Service Corporation since February 2016, Lorie oversees the recruiting, training, and job placements for the Transportation Alliance for New Solutions program, which aims to equip underrepresented individuals with skills for the road-building industry. Additionally, Lorie has worked as an Employment Specialist at Lakeside Curative Services since April 2012, providing guidance in job searches and employment retention. Previous experience includes roles as an Education Assistant and Special Education Assistant at Madison School District, where Lorie supported students with disabilities, and as a Program Coordinator at Advanced Employment, advocating for clients' needs. Early career experience at Kohl's Department Store as a Department Lead focused on customer service and department management. Lorie holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Strayer University and an Associate degree in Human Service from Madison Area Technical College.
