Joelle Bates

Joelle Bates has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Starting in 2003, they worked as a Receptionist and Settlement Processing Assistant at Universal Title, where they handled administrative tasks and coordinated settlements. Joelle then joined New Technology Management as an Administrative Assistant, assisting multiple departments and managing various responsibilities. From 2005 to 2006, Joelle worked as an Application Clerk at Sysco, applying cash and checks to customer accounts. In 2007, they served as an Underwriting Assistant at McDuff Underwriters, responsible for policy management and customer service. Joelle then transitioned to Sonus Hearing Care Professionals as a Senior Patient Care Coordinator, where they handled office tasks, managed appointments, and provided support to patients. Joelle also gained experience at VHQC as an Administrative Professional, where they provided administrative support to a team of case review nurses and physicians. From 2011 to 2016, they worked as an EHR Project Assistant at Health Quality Innovators, assisting healthcare providers with EHR implementation and support. Joelle continued their administrative career as an Office Manager at RichPro Pest Management, Inc. before joining Ion Solar as a Project Coordinator, overseeing solar projects and ensuring customer satisfaction. Currently, Joelle works as an Assistant to the Executive Director at Leadership for Educational Equity, supporting senior leaders in various administrative tasks and handling confidential information with discretion.

Joelle Bates started their education at Woodbridge Senior High School, where they obtained their High School Diploma from 1997 to 2001. Joelle later attended Northern Virginia Community College from 2010 to 2011 and earned a HIS Certificate in Implementation Support Specialist. In 2012, they pursued an Associate's degree in Health Information Management from the same institution, completing it in 2014. Joelle then continued their education at J Sargeant Reynolds Community College from 2015 to 2018, earning an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Science and Mathematics with Teacher Preparation. Additionally, in 2011, they obtained a certification as a CHTS Implementation Support Specialist from AHIMA.
