Samantha De La Fuente has a diverse work experience starting from 2011 to the present. Samantha began their career as an International Trade Student Researcher at The University of Arizona, where they conducted research on the competitive effects of China's increased trade on U.S.-Mexico trade. In 2012, Samantha worked as a Political Communication Research Assistant at the same university. After that, they interned as a Latino Marketing and Corporate Relations Intern at the Tucson Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. From 2009 to 2013, Samantha worked as a Head Waitress at Little Anthony's Diner. In 2013, they became a Policy Analyst at the University of Southern California. Samantha then transitioned to Mi Familia Vota, where they held two roles: Research and Data Manager from 2014 to 2015 and Associate Director of Research and Data from 2016 to 2017. Currently, Samantha serves as the Director of National Political Targeting and Data at Leadership for Educational Equity.
Samantha De La Fuente attended the University of Arizona from 2008 to 2012, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. Samantha'sfield of study during this time included Anthropology, Communication, and Spanish. In 2013, they enrolled at the University of Southern California and completed their studies in 2014. Although the specific degree name is not provided, their field of study at USC focused on International Trade, Mexico, and Political Economy.

Leadership for Educational Equity
LEE is a diverse network of equity-minded leaders at all stages of life and career. By providing 1:1 coaching, meaningful member-to-member connections, and skill-building opportunities, we help our network members do the work needed to ensure an equitable education for children everywhere – whether that’s organizing within their local communities, exploring careers in policy and advocacy, or pursuing elected office. LEE is a free membership organization currently open to alumni of several partner organizations including Teach For America, the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI), New Leaders, Latinos for Education, Urban Teachers, Public Allies, and School Board Partners. LEE believes that when a diverse group of leaders, grounded in a commitment to equity, are in leadership roles, they will serve as a transformative force for and with students and communities. We are an outcomes-oriented organization that operates in an entrepreneurial environment deeply invested in continuous improvement. LEE is honored to have been selected as a LATINA Style 50 Award recipient and a When Work Works award recipient. We are also an Employer of National Service.
