Leadership Institute
Christian Matos is currently a Digital Operations Fellow at the Leadership Institute since September 2023, after serving as a Digital Training Intern. Previously, Christian worked as an Outreach Intern at The Heritage Foundation from January to April 2023 and held the position of State Affairs Associate at Americans for Tax Reform from January to December 2022, where responsibilities included tracking legislative actions and providing updates on state and local tax policy and elections. Christian also published articles on policy, law, and society as a Staff Writer at Midwestern Citizen from May 2021 to 2022. Earlier experiences include working as a Banquet Server at Tribeca Grill and as a Summer Intern at the New York City Criminal Court, where engagement with judges and legal research was prominent. Christian holds a Master's degree in Justice, Law, and Criminology and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from American University, along with additional credits in Diplomacy and Dictators Camp.

Leadership Institute
Founded in 1979 by its president, Morton C. Blackwell, LI provides training in campaigns, fundraising, grassroots organizing, youth politics, and communications. The Institute teaches conservatives of all ages how to succeed in politics, government, and the media. The Institute offers 47 types of training schools, workshops, and seminars; a free employment placement service; and a national field program that trains conservative students to organize campus groups. Since 1979, LI has trained more than 230,000 conservative activists, leaders, and students. The Institute's unique college campus network has grown to more than 1,700 conservative campus groups and newspapers.
