Roy C. Benavides, Ed.D. has worked in various roles in the education sector since 1988. Roy C. began their career as an Assistant Superintendent at Judson ISD in 1988. In 1990, they became the Superintendent at Weslaco ISD. In 1992, they were appointed as Executive Director at RESC XIII, an intermediate educational organization in Texas. In 2000, they became the Superintendent of Schools at Ector County ISD, where they implemented Instructional Monitoring. In 2001, they began working as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Texas of the Permian Basin. In 2004, they were appointed as an Educational Expert at Educational Partnerships, Inc. In 2005, they became the CEO and Owner of Executive Edge Group, as well as the President of Executive Edge Group of Texas, which is affiliated with Leadership Management International (LMI). In their roles at Executive Edge Group and Executive Edge Group of Texas, they specialize in providing Leadership Development, Team Training and Maintenance, Personal Executive Coaching, Organizational development and Personal Productivity training, and support. In 2014, they became a Half-Time Senior Lecturer at the University of Texas of the Permian Basin.
Roy C. Benavides, Ed.D. began their educational journey in 1965 when they earned a BS from Trinity University. Roy C. then returned to Trinity University in 1968 and earned a M.Ed. in Educational Leadership in 1972. In 1980, Benavides returned to Texas A&M University and earned an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership, followed by a Doctor of Education - EdD in Educational Leadership and Administration, General.
